SUSIE STRANGE
The inspiration for my work comes from my interest in the interactions between different elements within the natural environment. Capturing the passing of time and ever changing movement within the landscape through texture, colour and the illusion of light. I paint on canvas or board, mainly in acrylic or oil, from onsite sketches as a starting point backed up by imagination and experience.
I also work as a muralist and mosaicist and addition, I have enjoyed running holiday and after school art and craft sessions for children and as a facilitator for adult art groups.
Through a desire to delve deeper into understanding nature and environment I have an Honours degree in Environmental Science and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Taxonomy and Biodiversity at Imperial College, London.
Exhibitions have included both in solo and group exhibitions in Switzerland, Stockholm , London and elsewhere in UK; including venues such as the Royal Watercolour Society, Royal West of England Academy and Theatr Mwldan in West Wales.
